Artificial Intelligence and the broader digital economy rely upon and produce vast amounts of data, which can include facts, creative content, computer code, personal information, and other information. As demand for data escalates, so do the challenges of responsibly collecting, using, and protecting it. Lee Tiedrich will unpack the AI Data Challenge, including the mounting legal actions brought by artists, regulators, and others about the use of their data to train AI models. Participants also will learn strategies for protecting and optimizing inventions and other works created using AI, particularly given the many legal uncertainties.
