This short course focuses on financial reporting and the valuation of assets in an intangibles world, where intangibles comprise over 90% of the value of the S&P 500 Index. In this data-driven and digitalized era, the development of knowledge and skillsets to support intangible valuation and reporting has become a critical development area for organizational accountability and performance management. This short course presents the latest thinking on issues concerning trends in intangibles accounting and financial reporting, as well as data analytics and intangibles valuation. Participants will be exposed to valuation methodologies for intangible assets and will be guided through case studies to learn how these tools and technologies for intangibles reporting can be used in practice.
