Summary
The last Canadian national security strategy was published over 20 years ago. We now live in a vastly different geopolitical world, a world transformed by diverse and fast changing threats. The government has pledged to write and publish a new national security strategy. We will examine what it should look like, the objectives it might serve, and the audiences it must reach.

Instructor
Wesley Wark is an expert on national security and intelligence issues, in both a Canadian and international context.
He is a fellow of the Balsillie School of International Affairs, a professor emeritus at the University of Toronto/Munk School of Global Affairs, and a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, in Waterloo, where he co-directed a major project on Canadian National Security Strategy.
